Calling for Change in the Criminal Justice System

People for Change joins with the People’s Coalition for Police Accountability

Calling for immediate change in the criminal justice system in Prince George’s County

We Are Demanding Justice and Accountability from the:
1. State’s Attorney’s Office
2. County Executive’s Office
3. Police Department
4. Correctional Facility
5. Our Elected Officials

Join Concerned Citizens as we Rally for Change in the Criminal Justice System on:

Monday, December 22, 2008 from 8:00am – 9:30am in front of the

Prince George’s County Courthouse

14735 Main Street, Upper Marlboro, MD

What’s Wrong with Our Criminal Justice System?

• Our State’s Attorney’s Office is weak on indictments and gathering of evidence

• Murders are not being investigated timely and diligently.

• Who Killed Ronnie White? Why has the State’s Attorney not presented strong evidence?

• Hundreds of residents have been abused, beaten, and even wrongfully killed by police and jail guards in our County.

• Police Brutality goes unchecked while Police continue with their code of silence.

• Evidence is sometimes compromised.

What Can We Do As Citizens?

• Elect New Leaders with Integrity and Accountability in 2010!

• Demand that our Leaders Correct Existing Problems at the Correctional Facility

• Promote Jail Safety

• Contact our County Officials and demand they address the problems with the criminal justice system
