HSA Information

HSA Exam Information
As you know, many of us testified before the Maryland State Board of Education re: whether we felt the passing of the HSAs as a requirement for graduation was a fair process. Personally I feel our students are expected to take an exam for which they have not been adequately prepared for by the Prince George’s County school system.

The Maryland State Board of Education has voted to maintain the High School Assessment program as a graduation requirement starting with the class of 2009. They also approved the additional measure of a senior project for students having difficulty passing the HSA. The four areas for assessment include: Algebra/data analysis, Government, Biology, and English. For more information on the HSA’vist the web site
